Truth_Teller
A long time ago, I realized that for me, there is no point in trying to tell lies---because I am naturally a truth teller. I recall, as a child, my sister stating something to the effect, “Let me ask him. He will not tell a lie!”
During my adolescence, I sometimes viewed this trait as a liability, and even tried to cultivate the ability to prevaricate---but alas, it didn’t come naturally to me! When I matured, I realized that truthfulness is an asset, not a liability. Today, I take pride in the fact that people who know me, trust me.
Observing the state of journalism today, I perceive a great need for trustworthy, truthful writers. Discerning readers have learned to take the written word “with a grain of salt”, because slanted and misleading articles seem to have become the norm, rather than the exception.
It is my intention to write on a variety of topics---but NEVER to slant my writing in order to gain financial support. I will tell the truth, even to my own hurt---and I will not avoid a topic just to remain politically correct.
